Arthur Joseph Pelkey

Arthur J. Pelkey 65, born on May 9th, 1957, in Caribou, ME, passed away from a brief illness at his home on March 9th, 2023 in Albany, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Edwina Pelkey.
Along with his family and friends, the joy of his life was being a diesel mechanic since he was young. He finished his career at MCLB where he was extremely proud of the M114 military FUV HMMWV that he built from the ground up after it was said it couldn’t be done. During downtime, he enjoyed camping at various locations.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Pelkey; three children, Jeff Pelkey (Jill Vito) of West Friendship, MD., Daniel (Ariel) Pelkey of Farmingdale, ME., and Candi (John) Vickers of Moultrie, GA.; Grandchildren, Christian, Colton, Joseph, Carter, Ryleigh, Kayla, and Jonathan; one great-granddaughter, “Lil Bit” Riley, two sisters Linda, and Irene, four brothers Pat, Rick, Ronnie, and Rodney; many other loved ones including family & friends.
Arthur chose to be cremated at Baker Funeral Home Crematory in Moultrie Ga.
The burial will be held in Maine at a later date.

Celebration of life Reception will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at
St John & St Mark Episcopal Church, 2425 Cherry Laurel Ln, Albany, GA 31705
