Doris Evans McMillan

Doris Evans McMillan, 83, of Lenox, died Saturday October 8, 2016 at her residence. Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Leila United Methodist Church with Pastor Roger Mays officiating. Interment will follow in McMillan Cemetery in Lenox. Casketbearers will be Loron Cheshire, Mark Smith, Ricky Moore, Joseph Lowery, Bryan Haughton and Walter Powell. Born November 21, 1932 in Rebecca, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Troy Evans and Carrie Fletcher Evans. She was a homemaker, a farmer and was a member of Leila United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melton David McMillan; a son, Carlton McMillan; two brothers, Eugene Evans and Junior Evans and 1 sister, Othene Cheshire. Survivors include her sons, Wayne McMillan of Lenox, Gary McMillan of Lenox and Joel McMillan of Rincon; daughter, Patricia Hathcock and husband Rick of Cairo; grandchildren, Skylar Grubbs, Carla Mckissick, Amber Mckissick, Dylan Gray, Darius McMillan, David McMillan, Mikel McMillan, Chris McMillan, Kim McMillan, Justin McMillan, Nicole Warren, Caroline McMillan and Riley McMillan; 20 great-grandchildren; and sister, Geneva Tillery of Lenox. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 6pm-8pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
