George Franklin Sutton

George Franklin Sutton, 78, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2022, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Scarborough officiating. He will be laid to rest at Midway Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Born on May 30, 1944, in Bibb County, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Edward Sutton and Georgia Inez Pagett Sutton. He was a retired store manager and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Gail Giles Sutton; brothers, James Sutton and Sonny Sutton; and sister, Nancy Gray.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his daughter, Amie Lynn Sutton of Macon; sons, Jerry K. Sutton (Kathy) of Atlanta, and Chis Sutton (Tracy) of Tenn.; grandchildren, Katelyn Easter (Jonathan), Jennifer Lloyd (Michael), and Chelsea Shipley (John).
