Homer Curtis Moore, 89, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Kennedy officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Hopewell Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be David Strayer, Jason Moore, Kade Kennedy, Ricky Smith, Matt Adcock, and Sam Lamb. Born on December 15, 1928, in Albany, Georgia, he was the son of the Willie Clarence Moore and Georgia Bell Tompkins Moore. He was a mechanic with DeMott Tractor, a veteran of the United States Army and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Moore and Paul Moore; and sister, Lucille Jackson. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hiers Moore of Moultrie; son, Ricky Dewayne Moore of Moultrie; daughter, Donna Hooks of Moultrie; grandchildren, Traci Kennedy, David Strayer and wife Megan, and Heather Smith and husband Ricky, all of Moultrie, and Jason Moore and wife Blair of Tifton; great grandchildren, Kade Kennedy, Chryslyn Kennedy, Izabelle Kennedy, Brantley Smith, and Evelyn Strayer; and sister, Grace Holder.
