James B. Walker

James B. Walker, 87, of Sumner,Ga died Friday, July 6, 2012 ath his residence. Funeral services will be held at Baker Funeral Home Chapel at 3 pm on Monay July 9, 2012 with the Rev. Godon Poole officiating. Burial will be at Wright's Chapel Cemetery in Worth County. Casketbearers will be Anthony Tillman, John Walker, Alvin Walker, Jamie Blanchett, Guy Willams, and Kevin Pierce. Mr. Walker was born on November 7, 1924 to the late John Y. Walker and Weston Watson Walker in Worth County. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Iverson, Idus and John Y. Walker, Jr. and sisters Ann Deloris Walker and Rilla Walker Davis. Survivors include hi wife of 67 years, Cecil Jane Ricks Walker,of Sumner;son, Melvin Walker and wife Bonnie of Sumner, daughter Diane Tillman and husband Jerry, of Moultrie, brother, Grady Walker, of Sumner, grandchildren; Melissa and Guy Williams, of Berrien County, John Walker, of Sumner, Jennifer and Jamie Blanchett, of Statesboro, Alvin and Sallie Walker, of Sumner, Anthony Tillman, Allison and Kevin Pierce,of Moultrie. great granadchildren; Kourtni, Phillip and Ryan Williams, Emily and Payton blanchett, Cotton Walker, step-great grandchildren; Hunter and Kaylee Gay. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
