Janet Kay Hancock

Janet Kay Knight Hancock, 78, of Moultrie, formerly of Albany, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Pruitt Health.
A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Peek officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born on May 15, 1944, in Beloit, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late James Knight and Elleen Bell Lewis Tegley. Mrs. Hancock graduated from Albany State University with a degree in accounting and retired in 2006 from the Dougherty County Tax Assessors Office with more than 30 years. She was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Julianna Morris; brother, Richard Tegley.
Mrs. Hancock is survived by her husband, Gary Hancock of Moultrie; son, David Israel Hancock and wife Kim of Doerun; daughter, Tirzah Hancock Morris of Moultrie; sister, Fordyce Parsons of Kent Washington; grandchildren, Samantha Kressin, Jody Morris, Zachery Hancock and Jacob Hancock; great-grandchildren, Mason Kressin and Lucy Hancock.
