Jerry Byron Corbitt

Jerry Byron Corbitt of Smiley, Texas passed away Saturday, March 8th , 2014. Mr. Corbitt was born January 7th, 1943 in Moultrie, GA to Mary Hall Corbitt and Colonel Byron Corbitt, Master Sergeant, USAF retired, both deceased. Survivors include his "Darlin' Dear" Barb Colmery, Smiley, TX, her son Ben Colmery IV, Silver Spring, MD, his wife, Leslie and daughter, Sylvie; Mr. Corbitt's daughter Jessica L. Corbitt, Inverness, CA, and her husband, Brian Evans; his granddaughter, Bianca Zogbi; his sister, Janet A. Pokorny, Havre de Grace, MD, and her husband, Arthur; his niece, Heather C. Armiger, Aberdeen, MD, and her husband Keith; his great niece Laurel; his aunts Rubye Meders of Omega, GA and Patty Hall of Athens, GA, their families and many additional cousins and extended family members and his much loved quarter horse "Ace". Visitation will be held 4 - 6 p.m. for family and close friends on Saturday, March 15th at Bakers Funeral Home, Moultrie, GA. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16th at Antioch Baptist Church, Omega, GA, with burial to follow at Omega Cemetery
