MOULTRIE Phillip Alan Fitch, 60, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating. Casketbearers will be Michael Chitty, Chad Walden, Terry Allegood, Butch Rabenstein, Duane Hardy and Ed Walden. Honorary casketbearers will be Sons of Confederate Veterans, Moultrie Camp #674. Born Aug. 14, 1952, in Pensacola, Fla., Fitch was the son of the late Charles Fitch and the late Louise Kelly Fitch Key. He was a retired stock broker, self-employed furniture refinisher and a substitute teacher for the Colquitt County School System. He was married to Nancy Helen Sarsfleld Fitch of Moultrie. He was a 1978 graduate of the University of Georgia and member of Gideon International. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Natalie Michelle Fitch of Atlanta; step-son Michael Warren Chitty and wife Maria of Statesboro; step-daughter Ashley Chitty Walden and husband Chad of Doerun; two sisters, Gail Fox of Jacksonville, Fla., and Brenda Derringer and husband John of Colorado Springs, Colo.; step-father, Claude Key and wife Maria of Aiken, S.C.; one grandchild, Aubree Rayne Walden; a nephew, Peter Fox and wife Julie of Rhode Island; and two great-nephews, Calvin Fox and Evan Fox. Visitation will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. today, Dec. 15, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church building fund or Gideon International. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
