Susie Mae James Johnson MOULTRIE Susie Mae James Johnson, 82, of Moultrie died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Baker Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronald Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Born April 8, 1931, in Mexia, Ala., Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Cecil Earl James and Gracie Mae Steadham James. She was a homemaker and member of Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Carl Guinwald Johnson Sr. of Moultrie; four sons, Carl Johnson and wife Sue of Moultrie, Steve Johnson of Valdosta, and Phillip Johnson and wife Stephanie, of Moultrie, and Tim Johnson and wife Pauline of Eastman, Ga.; two daughters, Glenda Horton and husband Frank of Waynesboro, Ga., and Janet Dickerson and husband Shannon of Moultrie; two brothers, Robert "Bob" James of Alabama and J.T. James and wife Mary of Alabama; three sisters, Vivian "DeeDee" Miles and husband Willie of Alabama, Reta Dressler of Alabama and Peggy Glover and husband Rick of North Carolina; grandchildren Mallory Johnson, Devin Dickerson, Jennifer Quick, Mandy McKneely, Samantha Griffin, Lori Mullis, Tony Johnson, Heather Geers, Jessica Cummings, Rebecca Egan, Sara Johnson, Elizabeth Floyd, Becca Mangum, Cody Johnson and Casey Johnson; 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles James and Bill James. Visitation will be from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 28 2013. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
