Alfred Darrell Eddings, 77, of Moultrie, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Elton King officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Jennings, George Brack, Russell Johnson, Frank Hough, David Gower, Dee Troy Clifton, James Hall, Wayne Norman, Terry Wayne Jarvis, Dale Crosby, George Hester and Brit Fulghrum.
Born on September 2, 1943 in Pavo, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Thomas Eddings and Jewell Roberts Eddings. He worked as a Communications Supervisor and retired with 31 years of service with General Telephone and later served 15 years with Georgia Telecommunication. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Thomas Eddings.
Mr. Eddings is survived by his loving wife, Deleta M. Eddings of Moultrie; daughter, Deana Eddings Starkey and grandson, Truett Starkey of Moultrie; step-son, Keedan Stevens of Adel; step-daughter, Angela S. Merritt of Crestview, Florida; step grandchildren, Trista Merritt Merrill, Levi Merritt, and Jessica Merritt; and great grandchildren, Landon Merritt Taft, and Luke Merrill, and Seth Merritt.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
