Alfred J. Veglia

Alfred John Veglia, 88, of West Palm Beach, passed away, Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Stevie Hart Officiating.
Born on December 4, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Gerolamo Veglia and Marie Olivillo Veglia. He served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years and then served over 20 years with the State of Florida. He was of the Christian Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 7 sisters; and 4 brothers.
Mr. Veglia is survived by his wife, Jeanette Furney Veglia of West Palm Beach, Florida; son, Gerolamo James Veglia of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Diane Veglia Gassaway and husband Patrick of Wesley Chapel, Florida, brothers, Franklin Veglia of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Victor Veglia of Stoneham, Massachusetts; sister, Ellenor Hanagan of Revere, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Joshua Gassaway and wife Katherina, and Corey Gassaway; great-grandchildren, Callan Gassaway, and Emmett Gassaway.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
