Alice Louise Jarvis Murphy Brock MOULTRIE Alice Louise Jarvis Murphy Brock, 91, of Moultrie, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Murphy Cemetery. The Rev. Stanley Norman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lester Mark Fender, Jon Mitchell Holloway, Ashton Holloway and Gracen Fender. Mrs. Brock was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Colquitt County, daughter of the late Sam Jarvis and James Annie Brown Jarvis. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both her husbands, Homer Murphy and Albert Hollis Brock; and her brothers, Chester, Jessie, Bunton, Ethridge, Perry, Pitman, Sam Jr., James, Lester and Vester Jarvis.. Survivors include sisters-in-law, Billie Jean Jarvis, Norma Park and Allene Jarvis, Moultrie; a step-daughter, Faye Gunn of Leesburg; a sister, Gladys Griffin of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jason Gunn and wife Michelle of Atlanta and Heather Peterson and husband Eric of Fayetteville, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Hayden Peterson, Sarah Peterson and Vivien Gunn; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today, July 22, at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 172 N. Pine Drive, Spence Field, the home of Henry Jarvis.
