Amos L. Bell, 60, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 15, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery with Brian Cagley, Wayne Cagley, Rory Bell, Tommy Hamilton, Tony Bell and Jerry Dean serving as pallbearers. Born Oct. 12, 1951, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late J.A. Bell and Estelle Benefield Bell. He was employed with the Seimans Corp. in Thomasville and was a veteran. Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Bell of Moultrie; son, Joshua Bell and wife Jessica of Moultrie; daughters, Stacie Ussery and husband Jay of Moultrie and Joy Walker and husband Daniel of Quitman; brother, J.L. Bell and wife Marquite of Moultrie; sisters, Betty Lou Dean, Frances Dean and Rosetta Cagley of Moultrie, Juanita Arnold and husband Jimmy of Greenville, S.C., Evelyn Kennedy and husband Buck of Greenville, S.C., and Annette Bell of Moultrie; and grandchildren, Amber Boyd, Rease Walker and Bobby Ussery. Visitation will be today, Jan. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
