ELLENTON - Antonio Martinez, 72, of Ellenton, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at his residence. Services will be Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Joel Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/ Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Born on July 5, 1943, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, he was the son of Anacleto Martinez and Dominga Castillo De Martinez. He was a fork lift driver and of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Sergio Martinez; and a sister, Alejandra Gonzalez. Survivors include his sons, Javier Martinez of Ellenton, and Jose Martinez of Moultrie; daughters, Juanita Martinez and husband Gerardo of Moultrie, and Ruby Martinez of Moultrie; brothers, Santos Martinez, Jose Maria Martinez and wife Concepcion, Gregorio Martinez and wife Amalia Martinez, and Jesus Martinez and wife Rosario; grandchildren, Rocky Lopez, Eric Castanon, Marco Martinez, Lucy Uriostigue, Miguel Uriostigue, Jr., Octavio Uriostigue, Angel Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Ricky Martinez, Jaciel Martinez, Katie Martinez, and Jose Martinez, Jr; and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
