Arnold Lee Griffin PAVO Arnold Lee Griffin, 85, of Pavo, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., today, July 30, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Eason officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Neal Croft, Garland Croft, Mark Rigsby, Griffin Rigsby, Mitchell Griffin and Sonny Batts serving as pallbearers. Born Dec. 3, 1927, in Brooks County, he was the son of the late Moody and Dassie Croft Griffin. He was a retired farmer, cotton-ginner, a truck driver for Berlin Milling Company, and a bus driver for the Colquitt County Board of Education. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne McKinney Griffin; and a brother, Melvin Griffin. Survivors include sons, Rickey Griffin and wife Judy of Berlin, and Kim Griffin and wife Kelly of Pavo; grandchildren, Mitchell Griffin and wife Samantha, Michael Griffin and Miley Griffin Rigsby and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Luke Griffin, Bo Griffin, Griffin Rigsby, Emily Rigsby and Mattie Rigsby; several nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Nola Meeks, Pam Rhodes and Christine Howard.
