Austin Akridge

Austin Elihu Akridge, 28, of Moultrie, died April 14,2016. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at Heritage Church with burial at Crosland Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Brad Bowen will officiate.Mr. Akridge was born April 15, 1987, son of Thomas Elihu Akridge III and of Geni Pearce Akridge and husband Richard Carden. He was self-employed in the health care field and was of the Baptist faith.He is survived by his parents; sisters, Chaltsy Carlton and husband Monty of Augusta and Camille Bowden andhusband Zach of Norman Park; a nephew, Mac Carlton; his grandmother, Bernice Hiers and husband Gene of Moultrie;an aunt, Geri Hester and husband Bart of Norman Park; an uncle, Bobby Gene Pearce Jr. of Norman Park.He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bobby Gene Pearce Sr., and Irene Vines Akridge and Thomas E. Akridge Sr.; and a faithful friend, Boone Dawg. Visitation will immediately follow the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
