Moultrie, GA - Barbara Ann Butler Jackson, 80, of Moultrie, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2020.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Baker Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating.
Barbara was born December 21, 1939, in Lakeland, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Lamar Duke and Mildred Fleetwood Duke and granddaughter of the late Rufus Chandler and Bessie Mae Fleetwood.
Her family will always remember her as a beautiful southern lady, mother and grandmother who deeply loved her family and friends. She was a great cook, hosting many family gatherings, and she loved to sing and laugh.
She is survived by two sisters: CeCe Dowdy of Lake Park, Georgia; and Mavis Dutson of Austin, Texas.
She is also survived by four children: son Sam McCord, Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Moultrie; daughter Kimberly Mitchell of Moultrie; daughter Pam Bollin and husband Douglas, of Valdosta; and daughter Kathy Lanier of Vero Beach, Florida. She is also survived by 14 special grandchildren: Austin, Garrett, Taylor and Emily McCord of Moultrie; Barclay Mitchell of Alpharetta; Alexis, Kenzie, Mariah and Kent Beam of Valdosta; and James Napolitano, Jr., Melissa Carr, Jimmie Lanier III, Amanda Lanier, and Michelle Mitchell; and nine great-grandchildren: Ella Hall, Kayla and Haley Mitchell; Logan, Marissa and Austin Lanier; Brock Napolitano, Roy Carr III, and Jordan Gober; and one great-great grandchild, Asher Mitchell.
