Barbara Jean McQueen MOULTRIE Barbara Jean McQueen, 81, of Moultrie, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Agape Health & Rehab. Funeral services will 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 27, at Autryville Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert McCoy and Dicky DeMott officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens with Ken DeMott, Gus DeMott, Richard DeMott, Curtis Sample, Kenny Bennett and Danny Hortman serving as pallbearers. Born July 4, 1932, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Russell DeMott and Lurline Lewis DeMott. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eugene "Gene" McQueen; a daughter, Tamilyn McQueen; brothers, Joseph Russell DeMott, Lewis Ervin DeMott and George Ronald "Billy" DeMott; sister, Lila DeMott Barrentine; a sister-in-law, Hazel Allegood DeMott; brothers-in-law, Don Morrow, Luther Barrentine and Lester Tucker. Survivors include sons, Joe McQueen and wife Cindy of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jason McQueen and wife Holly of Moultrie, Zack McQueen of Moultrie and Amanda McQueen of Norman Park; a great-grandchild, Jaxxton McQueen; brothers, Charles R. "Dicky" DeMott and wife Cora Scales DeMott of Thomasville, Ga., and Roy Phillip DeMott and wife Barbara Russell DeMott of Spartanburg, S.C.; sisters, Dorothy DeMott Morrow of Enterprise, Ala., and Patricia "Patsy" DeMott Tucker of Moultrie; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hitchcock DeMott and Audrey Bell DeMott, both of Moultrie and Ginger McQueen Reeves of Fayetteville, GA. Visitation will be from 2 t 3 p.m., on Monday, prior to service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
