Barbara Mae Vick Powers, 76, of Norman Park, died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Ian Thomas, Phillip Werner, Devin Brinson, Jackie Palmer, Ricky Palmer, and David Palmer will serve as pallbearers. Ashely Creech, Shannon Griffin, Mike Roberts, and Terry Walker will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Born on June 14, 1943, in Thomasville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Ruben Vick and Mary Arrnissie Williamson Vick. She worked as a sales associate at Walmart and was of Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Junior Powers; brothers, Bobby James Vick and Author Dale Vick; sisters, Connie Latrel Griffen and Hazel Adel Roberts.
Mrs. Powers is survived by her sons, Timothy Dell Brinson and wife Monja of Norman Park, Lenzie Buford Brinson Jr. of Norman Park; daughters, Connie Irene Catalano of New York, Kimberly Ann Hall and husband John of Ellenton; sisters, Betty Jane Palmer of Ochlocknee, Mary Lee Walker and husband L.N. of Norman Park; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM to 2:00PM in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
