ELLENTON - Bessie Nell Harper Hood, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Barrett officiating. Interment will take place at Omega City Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Luther Black, Christopher Miller, Lee Davidson, Joe Baker, Jackie Black, and Harvey Wilson. Born on May 11, 1929, she was the daughter of Charlie Bob Harper and Bobby Howell Harper. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceeded in death by one son, Emory Davidson; three brothers, Ira Lee Harper, Johnny C. Harper, and Willie Harper; three sisters, Laura Ogletree, Lorine Black, and Olamae Harper; and one grandchild, Curtis Barfield. Survivors include her sons, Wayne Davidson, Tommy Davidson and wife, Becky, of Moultrie, and Jimmy West, of Moultrie; daughters, Margie Davidson of Moultrie, Bobby Barfield of Tifton, Marie Johnson of Moultrie, Denise Page and husband, Jerry, of Moultrie, and Lila Jean Miller and husband, Christopher, of Burlington, N.C.; brothers, Robert Harper of St. Augustine, Fla., Charlie Harper, Jr., of Sparks, Ga., and Ernest James "Pete" Harper and wife, Sue, of Moultrie; sisters, Emma Barwick of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Marie Lou Isdell of Omega; gradchildren Shannon Davidson, Jennifer Davidson, Joshua Davidson, Hunter Davidson, Brian Barfield, Stephanie Barfield, Lee Davidson, Keri Lastinger, and Kailee Miller; and many great-grandchildren.
