Betty Causey Diers

Betty Causey Diers, 81, of Moultrie, died Monday, May 20, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Oakdale Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow in Oakdale Church Cemetery. Ryan Diers, Reid Diers, Jason Pittman, Howie Gray, Dewayne Causey, and Tim Hall will all serve as pallbearers.
Born on January 1, 1938, in Sylvester, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Riley Causey, Sr., and Hazel Brown Causey. She retired from Queen Carpet in Tifton and was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Diers; son, Larry Diers; and sister, Joyce Creel.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Diers and Carol Diers Spires, both of Moultrie; daughter in law, Kim Diers, of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jennifer Murphy, Josie Spires, Ashley Pittman and husband Jason, Ryan Diers and wife Whitney, and Reid Diers and wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Lanie Gray, Gage Thompson, Jemma Murphy, Jax Murphy, and Addi Reid Diers; sisters, Jean Caulder of Tifton, Francis Whittington of Doerun, Carolyn Wagner of Moultrie, and Judy Gay of Moultrie; brother, Bo Causey and wife Dorothy of Moultrie; brother in law,  W.D. Creel; and special family friend, Carly Horne.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 1pm - 2pm, one hour prior to the service at Oakdale Baptist Church.
