Betty Ruth Nichols

Betty Ruth Nichols, 84, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Agape Health & Rehab of Moultrie. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, May 3, at Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Addington officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery with Richard Cox and Brian Doile serving as pallbearers. Born Oct. 20, 1927, in Jeanerette, La., she was the daughter of the late Eugene Dykes and Susan Mae Dykes . She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Moultrie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Nichols. Survivors include daughters, Marilyn Jordan of Moultrie, Ricky N. Wilson and husband Terry of Pensacola, Fla., and Patricia Lowery and husband Rick of Naples, Fla.; grandchildren, Samantha Doile and husband Brian of Moultrie and Richard Cox of Moultrie; and great-grandchildren, Kelsie Doile, Nicholas Doile, Joshua Doile and Emily Doile. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today, May 2, at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
