COLQUITT - Billie Cardin Gay, 93, of Moultrie, died Wednesday July 5, 2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 at Baker Funeral Home Saturday July 8, 2017 with Rev. Hugh Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Folsom, Barry Carter, J. David Edmondson, Thomas Gay, Jr., Russell Barbee, Stephen Edmondson. She was born on August 3,1923 in Colquitt County, to the late Goldmon Smith Cardin and Lillie Victoria Davis C...ardin. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Walton Samuel "W.S." Gay; infant son, Richard Harold Gay; son in law, Marion Folsom; brother, Goldman "Buddy" (Lydia) Cardin; sisters, Rosie (Eldred) Cooper, Mamie (Allan) Johnson, Onie (Nathan) Flowers, Florie (Moses) Flowers, Susie Mae (Willie) Gunn, Ruth (Willie) Brown, Louise (George Green, Dick Wineinger), Berthel Cardin (Henry Day). Survivors are 3 daughters, Geraldine Gay Folsom of Quitman, Shirley Gay Edmondson and husband Carl of Barney, Guythia Joan Gay of Moultrie; 3 sons, James Samuel Gay and wife LeFils of Valdosta, Thomas Walton Gay of Moultrie, David Rodney Gay and wife Theresa of Barney; grandchildren, Samuel (Marianne) Folsom, Deidre Folsom (Barry) Carter, John David (Cynthia) Edmondson, Thomas Walton Gay Jr., Jennifer Gay (Russell) Barbee, Christina Gay (Adam) Sikes, Joshua Gay; great-grandchildren, Stephen Edmondson, Stephanie Edmondson, Alexandria Edmondson, Riley Barbee, Kaylee Barbee, Aaron Heffner and Sam Heffner; great great grandchildren, Tristin Heffner, Arianna Heffner and Luscius Heffner . The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 before funeral service at Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
