Billy Thomas Norman, age 81, of Norman Park, died Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Walker officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Weeks Chapel Cemetery. Logan Hampton, Pat Cochran, Benny Norman, Jr., Ricky Weeks, Ben Weeks and Bharat Patel will all serve as Casketbearers.
Mr. Norman was born on March 14, 1938 in Norman Park, Georgia, and was the son of the late Thomas Lester Norman and Nita Brown Norman. He retired from Industrial Frame and Welding as the Shop Foreman, was employed with Demott Tractor Co. as the Shop Foreman for many years, a veteran of the United States Army, and of the Methodist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Crosby Norman.
Mr. Norman is survived by his son, Thomas Elliott Norman and wife Sheila of Moultrie; daughter, Teresa Annette Hurst and husband Dale of Amherst, OH; brothers, Bobby Norman and wife Dot of Funston, Benny Norman and wife Carolyn of Norman Park; sister, Betty Jean Duren of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Lizabeth Jean Norman, Sarah Bolin, Elizabeth Bolin, Jonathan Vickers all of Moultrie, Shane Hurst of Cleveland, OH, John Salter and wife Loren of Columbus, OH and Briana Salter of Lawton, OK.
Visitation will be held from 6pm - 8pm Monday, January 20, 2020 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church, 1019 Clark RD, Norman Park, GA 31771.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
