Bobbie Ann Bennett

Bobbie Ann Tharp Bennett, 84, of Moultrie, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at her home. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Robert McCoy officiating. Grandsons Matt Young, Charlie Hall, Brad Hall, Austin McAlpin, Dustin McAlpin, Jaylin Mock, Jaxon Beaty, and Zachary Arnett will be pallbearers. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held an hour before the service. 

Born on December 24, 1939, in Columbus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Alton Woodrow Tharp and Ollie Bell Barnes Tharp. Mrs. Bennett was a clerk for the Colquitt County Courthouse and was of the Baptist faith. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hall Bennett; daughter, Mandy Jay Arnett; and sister, Betty Gray. 

Mrs. Bennett is survived by her daughters, Jackie Young and husband Johnny of Moultrie, Penny Hall and husband Billy of Ty Ty, and LeAnne McAlpin and husband Dewayne of Tifton; grandchildren, Matt Young, Maggie Jo Foister and husband Myles, Dustin McAlpin, Austin McAlpin and wife Kirsten, Charlie Hall, Brad Hall and wife Tisa, Jaylin Mock and Christine, Jaxon Beaty, and Zachary Arnett; great-grandchildren, Tia Hall, Mya Hall, Jacob Hall, Hannah Strickland, Sarah Hall, and Joanna Foister; and niece, Tammy Horne and husband Buddy.
