Bobbie Lee Hendrix Carlton Shirah

Bobbie Lee Hendrix Carlton Shirah, 87, of Norman Park, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 9, at Bethel Baptist Church in Omega with Dr. Howard Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery with Marty Bennett, Mike Van DeVelde, Randy Willis, Kim Turner, Don Willis and Julius Brown serving as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be the Bethel Baptist Church Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Born March 11, 1925, in Tifton, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Henry Hendrix and Mary Hendrix. She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nathan Rylan Carlton and her second husband, Dewey Shirah; four brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today, June, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
