Bobby Livingston

Bobby Norman Livingston, 85, of Moultrie, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2021, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Don Prevatt officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. John Vance Livingston, Thomas Livingston, Zack Phillips, Bennie Ray Bullard, Jackie Powell, and Donnie Mac Powell will serve as pallbearers.
Born on August 1, 1935, in Colquitt County, Georgia. He was the son of the late John Vance Livingston and Sallie Alderman Livingston. He was of Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Evoline Cole and Juanita Holloway; brothers, J. D. Livingston and James Samuel Livingston.
Mr. Livingston is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Livingston; son, John Livingston and wife Angela of Dothan, AL; daughter Melissa Livingston Conner and husband Mitch of Boston, GA; grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Phillips and husband Zack, Catherine Conner, John Vance Livingston, Thomas Livingston and wife Haley, and Maggie Livingston; and great-grandchildren; Conner Phillips, Caroline Phillips, and Colton Livingston. Mr. Livingston cherished the time spent with his family. He loved his grandchildren and adored his great-grandchildren.
He served in the Air Force on a B29 as a tail gunner during the Korean War. He started his career in law enforcement in 1957 with the Moultrie Police Department and served the community for the next 30 years. He worked his way up through the ranks to Chief of Police. During his career, he was President of the Georgia Chief of Police. He was recognized by two Georgia Governors as one of the top officers in the State of Georgia. He was a graduate from the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. He was also active in the community and served as President of the Lions Club.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
