Brenda was born on August 21, 1949 in Colquitt. Co, Georgia, and was the oldest child of the late Thurman “Pete” Kitchens and Annie Laura “Peewee” Kitchens. Brenda loved her family more than anything and enjoyed going on adventures with her son and grandchildren, sleepovers with grandkids, cousins, nieces, and nephews, family holiday gatherings, and all the little moments in between. She was an avid storyteller and shared her family history and fond memories any chance she got. She loved the beach, ice cream, going on long drives, and candy bars. Anyone who knew her knew the joy she lived her life with every day, and they knew her playful and eccentric personality. Brenda is also well known for the lives she touched during her decades as a daycare provider. She loved her daycare babies as her own and had the pleasure of helping care for numerous children and their families. Brenda was a member of Leila Church in Omega, Georgia where she attended for many years and served as the Sunday School secretary.

Brenda was proceeded in death by her father, Thurman Hoyt “Pete” Kitchens, her mother, Annie Laura “Peewee” Kitchens, her brother Bobby Kitchens, and her brother-in-law Ronnie Kailing.

Brenda is survived by her son, Mickey Jacobs of Moultrie, grandchildren MaKayla (Adam) Chappell of Marietta, Drew Jacobs and Jessika Zarco of Tifton, and Jackson Jacobs of Tifton, sisters Peggy (Donald) Roberts of Lenox, Hilda Yelverton of Lenox, and Cindy Kailing of Lenox, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
