Brenda Edwards Key, 77, of Norman Park, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at First Baptist Church Norman Park with Rev. Dr. Jimmy Voyles and Rev. Jim Horne officiating. Interment will follow at Southside Baptist Church Cemetery. Sam Key, Cole DeMott, Bo DeMott, Cole Brogdon, Hunter Kimble, and Mason DeVane will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born on March 26, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ed Edwards and Jean Story Edwards. Mrs. Key was known for her unwavering love for her family, her passion for cooking, and her dedication to creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered. Brenda was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Norman Park and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a constant source of comfort and strength for many, as she never missed an opportunity to be there when the doors opened.
Mrs. Key is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Omer Junior Key of Norman Park; son, Brian Key and wife JoBeth of Norman Park; daughters, Anna Key DeMott and husband Tim of Moultrie, and Kimberly Key Dove and husband Derrick of Norman Park; grandchildren, Katherine Key Brogdon and husband Cole, Kennedy Key Kimble and husband Hunter, Sam Key and wife Gwenda, Karson DeMott DeVane and husband Mason, Cole DeMott, Bo DeMott, Ruby DeMott, Ollie Dove, Otis Dove, and Junie Dove; great-grandchildren, Jeb Brogdon, Ford DeVane, Betsy DeVane, and Birdie Brogdon; brother, Clark Edwards of Moultrie; and sisters, Glenda Walden and husband Eddie of Moultrie, and Linda Johnson of Valdosta.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
