Carolyn Jo Calloway Jackson, 68, of Moultrie, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Reverend Thomas Morey officiating.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. 

Born on September 15, 1955, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joe Byrd Calloway and Drew Willie Reeves Calloway. Carolyn dedicated over 40 years to the Moose Lodge, where she was more than just an employee; she was a guiding light and a nurturing presence. Her unwavering commitment and warm spirit touched the lives of countless members and friends, creating a legacy of kindness and generosity that will be remembered for years to come. Beyond her esteemed role at the Lodge, Carolyn’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister whose love for her family was evident in everything she did. Her home was always a welcoming haven, filled with laughter, love, and the comfort of family gatherings. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Ray Reeves, Paul Hoyt Calloway and Larry Joe Calloway.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her sons, Donald Ray Jackson and Brian D. Jackson and wife Amanda, all of Moultrie; daughter, Kasondra Lee Jackson Byrd and husband Billy Wade of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Bryce Jackson, Kinsely Payne, Chris Byrd, Justin Byrd, Kayla Williams, Jacob, Jayna, Autumn, Ameerah, Abrycen, Hayden, Heaven, and Azaiah; great grandchildren, Eden Payne, Isbella Payne, Elena Payne Harrison Williams, Lyanna Williams, Owen Byrd, and Aiden Byrd; nephew, Michael; brother, Travis Calloway of Norman Park; sisters, Diane Morey and husband Rev. Thomas, Martha Dell Calloway and Christine Pilgram, all of Norman Park; and her boyfriend, Curt.
