Carolyn Murphy (PICTURE) MOULTRIE Carolyn Murphy, 56, of Moultrie, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, April 24, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Burial will follow in Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Carl Jenkins, Bo Hickey, Gary Jesup and Robert Cone serving as pallbearers. Born June 28, 1957, in Mitchell County, Ga., she was the daughter of Clarence Murphy and Callie Belle Miller Murphy Barfield. She was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a grandson, C.J. Hopson. Survivors include her son, Carl Jenkins of Moultrie; daughters, Patricia Ann Hopson of Adel and Lisa Allegood of Moultrie; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., prior to the service on Thursday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
