Catarino Manuel Medrano

Catarino Manuel Medrano, 71, of Omega, died Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, February 26, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Father Alfonso Gutierrez officiating. Interment will follow services at Omega City Cemetery. Victor Salinas, Jr., Jorge Medrano, Jr., Alfredo Medrano, Jr., Alberto Medrano, Augustine Medrano, and Raymond Medrano will serve as pallbearers.
Born on December 16, 1949 in Lyford, Texas, he was the son of the late Pedro Manuel Medrano and Petra Gonzalez and was employed at Coastal Plains Cotton Gin.
Mr. Medrano is survived by his children, Jorge Medrano and wife Jessica of Omega, Pedro Manuel Medrano, Dasey Salinas of Omega, Alfredo Medrano and wife Josefina of Omega, Silvia Medrano of Houston, TX, Elvira Medrano of Brownsville, TX, Isidro Medrano, and Catarino Medrano, Jr. of Brownsville, TX; 27 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Juan and Larry Orozco, Sonya DeLaGarza and Daniel, and Maria G. Garcia.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 on Thursday, February 25, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
