Cecil Davis MOULTRIE Cecil Davis, 81, of Moultrie, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial at Oakhill Cemetery in Lakeland, Fla. The Rev. Carl Felts will officiate. Mr. Davis was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Wrightsville, Ga., son of the late Eddie Louis Davis and Velma Shepherd Davis. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda Fay Collins Davis of Moultrie; sons, Matthew Davis of Moultrie, Eugene Davis and wife Trudy of Lakeland, Fla., and Gerald Davis and wife Susan of Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter, Jeannie Sterling of Coral Springs, Fla.; a stepson, Eddie Davis of Polk City, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Linda Francis and husband Timothy of Lakeland, Fla.; five brothers; three sisters; nine grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Redetha Davis; a daughter, Angelia Davis; a brother; and two sisters.
