Charles Byron Allen

Charles Byron Allen, 79, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at The Golden Apple. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Kingwood Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Greene officiating. Born on September 24, 1938, in Cullman, Alabama, he was the son of Horace Fletcher Allen and Daisy Louella Martin Allen. He was a retired police officer from the City of Valdosta. He also served in the United States Army and was of the Southern Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harrell Allen, William Horace Allen, and Hoyt Jefferson Allen; and sister, Linda Lou Allen Leonard. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Opal Weeks Foster Allen of Moultrie; 3 sons; 2 daughters; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Cora Nadine Allen Nunnelley of Alabama.
