Charles Harrison Lindsey, 68, of Moultrie, passed away Monday August 21, 2017 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 24, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Woods officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Casketbearers will be Michael McGuirt, Chanaan Davis, Jody Parker, Michael Collins, Jessie McMullen, and Harley Houston. Born on March 27,1949 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late George H. Lindsey and Doris Chastain Lindsey. He was a retired Firefighter and EMT for Marine Corp. Logistic Base in Albany. Mr. Lindsey was a veteran in the U.S. Army where he served in the medical field during the Vietnam War. He was award many medals for his time in service including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and The Purple Heart. Mr. Lindsey was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Harry Lindsey and James Lindsey. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis C Lindsey of Moultrie; daughters, Lori Parker and husband Jody and Wendy McGuirt and husband Michael, both of Doerun; stepsons, Chanaan Davis and Harley Cole Houston; stepdaughters, Brandy Collins and Robin Houston Powell of Moultrie; grandchildren, Mallory McGuirt, Lana McGuirt, Porter McGuirt, Hayden Parker, Reed Parker, Max Powell, Matthew Powell, Morgan Powell, Andrew Davis, Jade Davis and Dalton Collins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on August 24, 2017 from 4p.m.-5p.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
