Charles L. Weathers

Charles L. Weathers, 66, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. A private family graveside service was held on Friday February 23, 2018 at Emerald Hill Baptist Church. Born on June 4, 1951, in Moultrie, he was the son of Azzie Weathers and the late Frank Weathers. A veteran of the United States Army, He retired from Colquitt County Road and Bridges department as Superintendent, and was a deacon of Emerald Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Weathers Loved the Lord, his family and especially his grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother in law, Frank Bridges. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Weathers of Moultrie; daughters, Jill Weathers of Moultrie, and Holly McQueen of Moultrie; grandchildren Matisyn Weathers, Jaylee Taylor, Jaxxton McQueen, Jadynce Todd, and Charlye McQueen; mother, Azzie Weathers; brothers, Gary Weathers and wife Faye of Berlin, and Rick Weathers and wife Sherry of Moultrie; and sisters, Brenda Glass and husband Jr. of Moultrie, and Debbie Bridges of Moultrie. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Emerald Hill Building Fund in care of Faye Plymel 646 Plymel Road Moultrie, Georgia 31788.
