Cleo Whittaker Goff (PICTURE) COOLIDGE Cleo Whittaker Goff, 96, of Coolidge, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Agape Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 19, at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Whittaker, Chuck Scarborough and Shane Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Murphy Cemetery with Beau Payne, Todd Jones, Shannon Parker, Andy Whittaker, Blake Payne, Darren Goff and Randall Sammons serving as pallbearers. Born May 6, 1917, in Ellijay, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Lafayette Whittaker and Eleanor Weaver Whittaker Goff. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Myrtice Legett Goff; a son, Jackie Ray Goff; brothers, Jay Whittaker, Herbert Whittaker, Bill Whittaker, Rob Whittaker and Jack Whittaker; and a sister, Lois Whittaker. Survivors include her son, Robert Goff and wife Vicky of Murphy Community; daughter, Betty Barnes and husband Edward of Murphy Community; daughter-in-law, Patsy Goff of Murphy Community; sister, Mary Ann Justice of Moultrie; grandchildren, Dana McMillan, Ricky Goff, Darren Goff, Amanda Goff Hembree, Stephanie Jones and Heather Parker; great-grandchildren, Beau Payne, Blake Payne, Emma Jones, Hunter Jones, Cade Parker, Amber McMillan and Craig McMillan; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be, on Thursday, one hour prior to service at the church. The family requests that donations be made to Murphy Cemetery Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
