Clinton Shane Merritt

Clinton Shane Merritt, age 43 of Moultrie, died Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Hiers officiating. Pallbearers will be Tyler Merritt, Anthony Merritt, Chris Tyree, Derek Truett, Brandon Truett and Logan Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Merritt and Asher Merritt. Burial will be in China Grove Church Cemetery.
Born on June 28, 1976 in Hahira, GA, he was the son of Patricia Gale Merritt of Moultrie and the late James Rowland. He was employed with Home Depot Distribution Center in Florida and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by is father and grandparents, Rufus and Trudy Merritt and Ed Rowland and Effie Taylor; brother, Darrell "Pete" Merritt; sister, Carolyn Truett.
He is survived by his mother Patricia Gale Merritt of Moultrie; son, Asher Callum Merritt; step daughter, Gracie Lenora Huston; mother of his children, Kimberly Carter all of Baconton; brother, James Ramsey of Ellijay; sister, Marsha Pledger; aunts and uncles, Nadine Stephens, Judy Johnson and husband Jim and Tony Merritt and wife Annette; cousins, Billy Ray Truett, Todd, Dara, Anthony, Lindsey, Casey and Tyler Merritt, Trina Lollar, Tracy Kelly, Leigh Tyree, Derick and Brandon Truett, Julie and Jamie Johnson.
Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00pm Sunday July 14, 2019 at Baker Funeral Home.
The family will receive family and friends at the home of Tony Merritt, 739 Tillman Rd, Moultrie.
