Clyde Lamar Carver Sr. DOERUN Clyde Lamar Carver Sr., 70, of Doerun, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, at Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. David Benton officiating. Burial will follow at the family farm in Doerun with Jerry Kimbrell, Tom Tucker, C.W. Smith, Randy Bacon, Joe Bass, Jimmy Davis, Herman Carver and Harry Carver serving as pallbearers. Born Aug. 23, 1942, in Doerun, he was the son of the late H.A. Carver and Callie Davis Carver. He was the owner of Carver Body Works in Doerun and he was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Carver and Ricky Carver; Survivors include his wife, Merrell Massey Carver of Doerun; son, Lamar Carver Jr. and wife Liza of Doerun; daughter, Nan Carver Ross and husband Eddie of Doerun; brothers, Harry Carver of Bridgeboro, Ga., and Herman Carver and wife Linna of Oglethorpe, Ga.; sisters, Mary Bass and husband Joe of Anderson City, Ga., Janet Bacon and husband Randy of Doerun, and Judy Davilla and husband Brian of Slidell, La.; grandchildren, Nanda Ross and Miranda Ross; and step-grandchildren, Halee Johnson and Josie Johnson.
