Curtis Griffin Sr. MOULTRIE Curtis Griffin, Sr., 76, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Anderson and the Rev. Stephen Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Weeks Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Junior Spires, Jamie Spires, Eugene Strickland, Scotty Strickland, Harold Covey and Joe Kearce. Mr. Griffin was born May 2, 1937, in Norman Park, son of Archie Griffin and Martha Exum Griffin. He was retired from the Kendricks Paint and Body Shop and was a member of the Assembly of God in Adel. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Lee Griffin and wife Pam of Sparks and Billy Wayne Griffin of Sparks; a brother, Leroy Mack Griffin and wife Dorothy of Norman Park; sisters, Myrtle Covey and husband Harold of Norman Park and Ethel Spires of Norman Park; brother-in-law, Melvin Tucker and wife Faye of Sparks; and sister-in-law, Peggy Folsom and husband John of Adel; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Curtis Griffin Jr. and James Randy Griffin; two daughters, Betty Ann Griffin and Baby Griffin; three brothers, Johnny Griffin, Billy Griffin and Tommy Griffin; a sister, Carolyn Griffin; and a brother-in-law, Carey Spires. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, Sept. 3, at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 5790 Highway 319 North, Norman Park, the home of Ethel Spires.
