Curtis Stephen Redmond, 52, of Moultrie, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Born Feb. 14, 1961, in Moultrie, he was the son of Joyce Boyd Burgess of Meigs and the late Curtis Lyndle Redmond. He was previously employed with Ice House America and Peachtree Homes. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his step-father, James P. Burgess Sr.; grandparents, Bud Curtis and Elizabeth Redmond and Clarence and Josephine Boyd. In addition to his mother, survivors include brothers, Charles Leonard "Lynn" Redmond of Moultrie and Curtis Lyndle Redmond Jr. of Macon, Ga.; step-brothers, Derek Burgess of Kathleen, Ga., and Timothy Burgess of Cairo, Ga.; a step-sister, Michelle Burgess of Helen, Ga.; a nephew, Robin Mitchele Redmond of Moultrie; a special cousin, JoAnn Allen of Hartsfield; family friend, Chris Arant of Moultrie; and a long-time friend, Martha Montgomery of Moultrie.
