David Harry Adams, 75, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Moultrie with Rev. Matt Peek and Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Mr. Adams will be laid to rest at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Julian Adams, Jerod Williamson, Donald Edmunds, Richard Bass, Jeffrey Durrance, and Jimbo Jarvis will all serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Godwin, Larry Wheeler, Darrell Strange, Jim Kimberly, and Curtis Bynum.
Born on April 5, 1946, in Augusta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Julian Mims Adams and Charlotte “Elizabeth” Macky Adams. Mr. Adams was employed with the Georgia Bureau of investigation as a forensic toxicologist and was a quality assurance specialist with Ball. Mr. Adams also served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1971. He loved music and was a member at First Baptist Church of Moultrie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marsha Shank Adams; brother, Richard Wade Adams; Sister, Frances Adams Crowell; niece, Beverly Crowell; and nephew, John Adams.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Cindy Adams of Moultrie; daughter, Charlotte Adams Kegley and husband Seth of Kathleen; stepchildren, Chad Langston of Moultrie and Kayce Langston of Valdosta; grandchildren, Aubrey Elizabeth Kegley, Annalyn Rae Kegley and Ryan David Kegley all of Kathleen; step-grandchildren, Jacob Long and Kiarra Terry; sister-in-law, Evelyn Adams of Augusta; nieces and nephews, Lamar Crowell and wife Wendy, Sandra Hessey and husband Randy, Julian Adams and Donald Edmunds; and great-nephew, Travis Crowell.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church Moultrie, on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
