MOULTRIE David Scott, 85, of Moultrie, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Roswell, Ga. Mr. Scott was born Sept. 19, 1928, in Roswell, Ga., to Charles Scott and Ether Reeves Scott, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and he was plant manager for Swift and Company. He was a Methodist. He was a member and past president of the Sunset Country Club and an avid golfer with two hole-in-one achievements. He was a past board member of the Moultrie YMCA and was an Atlanta Braves fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Scott and Charles Scott. Survivors include two sons, Stephen David Scott and wife Loy Beth of Suwanee, Ga., and William Stacey Scott of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren, Christopher Stephen Scott, David Carter Scott, Savannah Delaney Scott, David Ryan Scott and wife Holly Brown Scott, and Laura Monet Scott; and two great-grandchildren, Landen Thomas Scott and Claire Elizabeth Scott. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
