Donald "Duck" Thomas Holton

Donald “Duck” Thomas Holton, 69, of Omega, died on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Parker officiating. Gene Lott, Daniel Chafin, Jason Boyd, Roger Sears, Jimmy Castleberry, and Joey Dorsey will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Omega City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Born on March 23, 1956, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Van John Holton and Lorene Waters Holton. Mr. Holton was a maintenance worker for the Tift County Recreational Department and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Holton; sister, Faye Measles; and brother, Ronald Wayne Holton.

Mr. Holton is survived by his daughter, Crystal Simmons and husband Rick of Navarre, Florida; brothers, Jimmy Holton and wife Carol of Norman Park, and Van Holton, Jr. and wife Chloe of Omega; sister, Patsy Chafin of Norman Park; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
