Donald Wayne Harrod,83, of Norman Park, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at his residence.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have a private family graveside at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Harrod was born on July 9, 1936 in Norman Park, Georgia. He was the son of the late Sidney Elton Harrod and Myrtice Lucille Baker Harrod.
He was the owner of Harrod Pallet Company and was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Delorse Watkins; and brothers in law, Pierce LeFevre and Jim Watkins.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bates Harrod of Norman Park; son, Patrick Wayne Harrod and wife Jana of Valdosta; daughters, Suzanne McAlpin of Tifton, and Michelle Godwin and husband Mark of Valdosta; brother, Stanley Harrod and wife Becky of Norman Park; sister, Brenda LeFevre of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Anna Beth Harrod, Lucy Grace Harrod, Trentyn Harrod, Peyton Haas and husband Tom, Hannah McAlpin and Chandler Grimes, and several nieces and nephews.
