Doris Griffin Norman, 91, of Lenox, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at her residence. A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Lennon Howell and Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be the family of Mrs. Norman. Born on July 22, 1926, in Colquitt Co., she was the daughter of the late William R. Griffin and Erma Willis Griffin. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Omega. Ms. Norman was an avid seamstress and loved to sew little dresses and outfits for babies and toddlers. She also enjoyed sewing for her granddaughters. She would always say, Sewing is a pleasure and very relaxing! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Horace Felton Norman; great-great grandchildren, Michael and Mikenna Dickey; and brother, Wendall Griffin. Survivors include her sons, Randall Norman and wife Lougene of Lenox, Ronald Norman and wife Margaret of Brookfield, and Rex Norman and wife Laurie of Tifton; daughter, Gwen Daniels and husband Orik of Norman Park; grandchildren, Felton Norman(Tammy), Renea Norman Cargill (Matt), Becky Norman Powell (John), Michelle Norman Menard (Mark), John Ronald Norman (Lee Ann), Serina Daniels Tippett (Zack), Brian Jay Daniels (Jill), Rebecca Norman Dickey (Shaun); 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brother, Winford Butch Griffin and wife Joanna of Marietta; and sisters, Margaret Bunny Griffin Robert and husband Don of Ocala, FLA, and Virginia Griffin Weaver of Thomasville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
