Douglas Allen Geist, 63, of Moultrie, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
Originally from Califon, NJ, Doug was the son of the late Harry Ralph and Betty Sliker Geist. After attending North Hunterdon Regional and Voorhees High Schools, Doug began a career in the insulation and building industries. He was a talented craftsman and mechanic who was known for being able to fix just about anything.
Doug’s love for the outdoors, animals, college football and NASCAR were evident to all that knew him. He loved to cook and enjoyed sharing meals with his family and friends on special occasions.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents and siblings, Lynn Cheryl Belding, and H. Ralph “Skip” Geist, Jr. Surviving are his daughter Charity Geist of Allentown, PA; step-children, Clay Weathers of Colorado Springs, CO; Daniel Weathers, Phenix City, AL; Ellen Weathers, Chiloe Island, Chile; sister, Amy Geist Franklin (Dottie) of Beaufort, SC; nieces, Olivia and Morgan Belding, and Emily Franklin; nephew Alex Franklin, as well as many grandchildren, cousins and close friends.
