Dr. Tina Edler Flanagan MOULTRIE - Dr. Tina Edler Flanagan, age 43, of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 8:22 am at Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Flanagan graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry for Wesleyan College in Macon. She went on to earn a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia at the age of 23. She practiced medicine for 20 years. She was the Director of the Emergency Department for Colquitt Regional Medical Center and was one of the designers of the upcoming ColquiTech project for the hospital. She worked as an Emergency Room provider at Colquitt Regional for five years. She loved her co-workers and patients from CRMC and the many friends she had made. Outside of work, Dr. Flanagan was an enthusiastic Duke University supporter, especially during basketball season. Surviving family members include husband, Ruben Earl Flanagan; children, Barrin Christian Flanagan, Katherine Rose James, and Michael James; parents, Hugh James Edler and Lucy Maini Edler; beloved cats, Harry Jade, Brutus, Lollipop, and Buttercup Purberry; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life for Dr. Tina Flanagan will be held at the Colquitt County Arts Center located at 401 7th Avenue S. W., Moultrie, GA. from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Wednesday July 22, 2015. Memorials may be made to The Colquitt Regional Medical Center Foundation at the Colquitt County Arts Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
