Earnest Lee Hunnicutt, 81, of Norman Park, passed away at Magnolia Manor of Americus on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. 

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Weeks Chapel Church Cemetery with Reverend Blaine Walden officiating. 

The family will receive friends following the service. 

Born on June 11, 1943, in Norman Park, Georgia, he was the son of the late O.S. Hunnicutt and Parra Lee Cox Hunnicutt. Earnest was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose life was centered around his love for his family, his passion for farming, and his deep commitment to his community. Earnest’s family was his greatest joy. His love for his children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and he found great happiness in watching them grow. He spent his life as a proud farmer. His legacy will continue through the values he instilled in them; the importance of family, hard work, and helping others. Mr. Hunnicutt served in the United States Army. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Herbert Hunnicutt; and sister, Lillian Hunnicutt Ricks. 

Mr. Hunnicutt is survived by his son, Anthony Hunnicutt of Norman Park; daughter, Denise Hunnicutt Lindsey and husband Andy of Americus; loving mother of his children, Berenda Edmondson Hunnicutt of Norman Park; grandchildren, Brittany Lindsey Hinkley and husband Scott, Raney Lindsey Law and husband Taylor, Alex Lindsey Miller and husband Andy, and Brooke Hunnicutt and Ricky Vannoy; great-grandchildren, Karter, Harleigh, Larkin, Evie, Mattie, Leighton, and Cohen; and brother, James Hunnicutt and wife Shirley of Norman Park.
