Eddie Russell Hickman (PICTURE) NORMAN PARK Eddie Russell Hickman, 84, of Norman Park, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 3, at Norman Park First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles and the Rev. Shane Ashley officiating. Interment will follow in Deep Bottom Cemetery with Glenn Hickman, Ronnie Hickman, Larry Jones, Mike Bennett, Brad Hickman, Edward Sanders, Carl Wesley Horne and Timothy Tanner serving as pallbearers. Born Dec. 9, 1927, in Fitzgerald,GA, he was the son of the late Eddie Eraco Hickman and Eula Nipper Hickman. He was a self-employed contractor and was a member of Norman Park First Baptist Church for 59 years. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Lizzie Spradley, Genevieve Griffin and Jeanette Crosby; and brothers, Hubert, Willie B., Cortez, Donald, Monroe and Lewis Hickman. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gladys Ruth Griffin Hickman of Norman Park; son, Billy Hickman and wife Melanie of Moultrie; daughter, Deloris Hickman of Norman Park; and grandchildren, Carrie Lyn Hickman and Justin Hickman.
